Big Walk has tonnes of activities for you and friends to enjoy, and it’s high likely you’ve laid eyes on the monorail train system. Well, who’d not enjoy a relaxing train ride after a lot of walking and using your brain to solve every mystery?
But again, the game doesn’t tell you how to do everything. Thus, I’ve written this guide on how to unlock the train system in Big Walk. If you’re on the lookout for that, you’ve arrived at the right place.
Activating the Train System in Big Walk
Starting the train system in Big Walk requires you to solve the Blue Tower challenge. If you start from the Red Tower (near the map room), you need to go straight towards the large mountain and go beyond. Since it’s on the other side, you might find it hard to spot. In case you’re confused, you can check the 3D map room in the starting area to understand the terrain better.
I’d suggest that while you’re on your way, you make sure to explore locations and solve environmental puzzles to collect red gourds. You’ll need a total of five of them, like all other towers, so make sure you have a backpack to carry them.
After collecting them all, head inside the blue tower and go to the top; there you’ll find five empty slots. That’s where the gourds you collected will go. Once you’ve filled them, you will receive a key. But you cannot use it right away.
Take the key and go downstairs to find the key-cutting machine nearby. Simply insert the key and collect the shaped key. Now you need to take this key to the railway control building just down the hill. Insert the key into the control panel, and you’ll have the train system activated.
Now, in my opinion, unlocking the train system isn’t the priority, as there is a very limited number of trains. Furthermore, the trains move in one direction and are very slow. If you want to joyride, then this shouldn’t bother you. But I’d certainly recommend opening the tunnel system instead.
