Grounded 2 rewards exploration with hidden recipes, armor sets, and tool upgrades. The new Into The Abyss update continues this, and gives you 16 new Optical Disks to find and collect. As you might have guessed, these disks are hidden in the most unusual places in the game’s world. Finding them will take you all the way down an ant cave, to the top of a tree, and inside a garbage-filled bird nest.
To make getting this collectible slightly easier for you, I have put up in this guide the locations for all the 16 Optical Disks, area wise, in the new Into the Abyss update for Grounded 2.
All 16 Optical Disk Locations in Grounded 2 Into the Abyss

This is the biome wise distribution for the Optical Disks:
- Snack Bar Front (x3 Optical Disks)
- Greenhouse (x2 Optical Disks)
- Ice Cream Cart (x1 Optical Disk)
- Pine Hill (x1 Optical Disk)
- Fire Pit (x1 Optical Disk)
- Statue (x1 Optical Disk)
- Veggie Garden (x1 Optical Disk)
- Pumpkin Patch (x1 Optical Disk)
- Skunk Pond (x1 Optical Disk)
- Gnarly Bark (x1 Optical Disk)
- Bridge (x1 Optical Disk)
- Pergola (x1 Optical Disk)
Snackbar Front is the only biome with 3 Optical Disks in the region, while the rest of them have single disks. I recommend starting from Snackbar Front and then going over the map to grab all the disks.
All Optical Disks in Snackbar Front

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Snackbar Turbo Optical Disk | Head inside the Ant Cave located in the Snackbar Front region; the cave is located southwest of the region, at the bottom of Snackbar. |
| Turbo Stolen Optical Disk | This one is also located inside the cave found a bit northeast of Snackbar, almost in the middle of Snackbar Front. [Do note, you will have to fight an O.R.C Northern Scorpion Jr. before getting the disk.] |
| Toxic Anthill Optical Disk | The disk is located inside the cave north of Snackbar Front. Here, you will come across Toxic Anthill: South Entrance; follow the route, and it will lead you to the disk area. [Head deep inside the cave until you see a giant cockroach in a green swamp covering the ground; here you will find the disk next to a corpse. Also note to have a Fuzzy parka to slow the rate of chill status.] |
All Optical Disks in Greenhouse

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Greenhouse Turbo Optical Disk | Head to the southwest of the Greenhouse biome to find the greenhouse. Now head up to the rooftops of the greenhouse to find the broken glass leading to the inside of the place. [Don’t drop down; stick to the ceiling of the Greenhouse and you will find the body with the disk on the top.] |
| Burgl OS Chip | This one is located inside the Greenhouse, but a stubborn gunk blocks the door; it’s a darkish purple goo covering the door from the top to the bottom. You will need to use a Tang Banger to remove the gunk from the door. After removing the gunk, head inside and get down on the elevator and interact with the Archive Distributor to grab the chip. |
Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk | From the Ranger Outpost: Ice Cream Cart, take the route north, and you will come across an ice cream cone leading to the cave inside. Head inside the cave to find the disk next to a corpse. |
Pine Hill Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Spider Den Optical Disk | This one will take us all the way northeast of Pine Hill. Once you get to the spot, head inside the Spider Den Anthill: North Entrance, follow the route, and you will find the disk next to a corpse. |
Fire Pit Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Hedge Optical Disk | From the Ranger Outpost: Park Bench, make your way northeast. Here, climb up the tree, follow the branches to get to the disk spot. [You will find many spider webbings covering up the spaces between branches; use them for safe travel, and you will find the corpse carrying the disk on a webbing at the top.] |
Statue Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Network Center Turbo Optical Disk | It’s available inside the Network Center found in the middle of the Statue region. This disk is found on a desk at the top, and you must start from the bottom and go through all the layers to reach the top. |
Veggie Garden Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Fairy Turbo Optical Disk | This one will take you all the way northeast of Veggie Garden, near the Fairy Garden House. Here you will find a cone-shaped building with a ladder leading underground. Drop down the ladder, follow the route to grab the disk. [You will not be alone here, as you will come across a giant Wolf Spider. Defeat the spider or skip it to the disk.] |
Pumpkin Patch Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Sinkhole Anthill Turbo Optical Disk | Head to the middle of the Pumpkin Patch area and enter the Sinkhole Anthill: East Entrance cave to find the disk. |
Skunk Pond Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Pond Aquatic Optical Disk | Head to the middle of Skunk Pond, and you will come across a giant water section. The disk we are looking for is underwater; take a breath and dive into the water to find the disk here. [You must venture deep into the water until you start seeing coins on the floor, here keep an eye out for a ladder with red light around it. Follow the ladder, and you enter the Diving Station.] |
Gnarly Bark Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Gnarly Bark Aquatic Optical Disk | Get to the middle of the Bridge area, and you find the disk on the top of the bridge, next to some nails. |
Bridge Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Bridge Aquatic Optical Disk | Head west of the Gnarly Bark area, and you will find a yellow track wrapped around a giant tree. Get on the track and follow it until you reach the very end. Here, jump onto the tree and climb up until you find an entrance leading to the inside. |
Pergola Optical Disk

| Disk Type | Location Information |
| Pergola Optical Disk | This one is located right in the middle of the Pergola biome, found inside the Crow’s Nest. Compared to all of them, this one will take you a long time, since you will have to climb all the way up until you see the sun in the sky. [Avoid all the monsters; use all the methods available to climb up the section, which means you must use the wooden fence, branches, and spider webbings.] |
