The Blood of Dawnwalker puts you through many investigation scenes as part of its unique quest design, where you must rely on your intuition to find all the parts that are wrong in a perfect scenario. It’s all about finding the unusual parts that stick out in a scene; luckily, the game borrows the Witcher sense from the Witcher series, allowing you to see all the highlighted objects in the scene without spending an awful amount of time interacting with every little thing in the investigation scene.
Even with careful observation, some objects do get missed, and when you are finding clues in your family home, you will come across an investigation scene with clues hiding in plain sight. Here I will highlight all the key clues found in the family home to help you complete the objective in the Smoke & Ashes quest early on in the Blood of Dawnwalker.
Smoke & Ashes – All Clues to Search Your Family Home
During the Search of your family home, you must uncover seven clues inside the house and around the area to complete the mission. Almost all the clues are highlighted by the Focus power; do note that you can only interact with a clue by turning on Focus. All clues are particular types of objects; first get them highlighted via Focus mode, and then get closer to them by simply pressing the interaction button.
- #1| Clue ” Busted Door”: Once at the entrance, enter Focus mode and inspect the door on the floor.
- #2| Clue “Bloodstain”: Then inspect the bloodstain located to the right of the fallen door. (the first interaction)
- #3| Clue “Table and Chairs”: Then move to the room on the left of the fallen door, and you will find a bunch of chairs and a table all messed up on the floor. Interact with them to get the third clue.
- #4| Clue “Doll”: The fourth clue is the doll lying next to the table. Interact to inspect the doll from a close point of view, and you will get the information that the doll is Lunka’s Doll.
- #5| Clue ” White Cloth”: Check the window next to the fallen table and chair, and you will find a white piece of cloth hanging on the edge. Inspect the cloth to get the fifth clue.
That’s all the clues found inside the house; the next set of clues are found outside.
- #6| Clue “Footprints”: After finding all the clues inside the house, leave the house by its backdoor, its the door right in front of the fallen door at the entrance. Once you exit from the backdoor, you will immediately spot several footprints on the ground; interact with the footprints to get to our final clue.
- #7| Clue “Bed”: Now follow the footprints, open the door, and inspect the bed inside the room to get the final clue.
