Halloween: The Game lets you play as Michael to instill terror into the hearts of people around the town and finally brutally slay the target. When the shoe is on the other end and you are playing the role of a human character, the choices of fighting back are very limited. Since you are dealing with an unkillable monster that stalks everyone, like Mr. X in Resident Evil 2, you must rely on other tactics to take down the big bad monster.
While the player is defenceless against Michael, the only way to take him out is by getting the help of townspeople and, finally, the cops to detain the nightmare. Here I will show you exactly how you can take down Michael Myers in Halloween: The Game.
Arresting Michael Myers in Halloween: The Game
We must call the cops on Michael Myers to perform the investigation and arrest him at the end. The human players and townfolks are completely defenseless against Michael, and we can’t kill him no matter how many times we fire bullets or hit him with melee weapons.
- Raise the Cop Level: Talk to as many people around the town to raise the Cop level. During the conversation, you play a small quick-time minigame to convince them. After the NPCs call the cops, pick up the phone and do the same. Here you run into another minigame: a quick-time event about pressing buttons at the right time in a small time window. Get the minigame or QTE right, and more cops will show up for investigation.
- Get Armed: There are many melee weapons and firearms found in the town that you can use to your advantage. Weapons are found inside houses and also outside, so you will always have plenty of options here. Do note, you can use the melee weapons to throw at enemies to deal a devastating amount of damage.
Tip: Do not see the weapons as the way to kill Michael; think of them as ways to stun him to fill up the arrest meter, which is the only mechanic to take the monster down.
- Police Reinforcement: If you managed to die by the hand of Michael, the game lets you play a minigame, Guitar Hero style, about pressing buttons moving from the top to bottom. Get it right, and with luck on your side, you will get a Police Reinforcement card. This little card will allow you to come back to the town not as a stranger but as a police officer.
Detaining Michael requires knocking him on the ground after filling up the Arrest meter. Stunning Michael and aiming the flashlight will stop him in his tracks for a few seconds, enough to fill the arrest meter. Focus on keeping Michael occupied with something to fill up the arrest meter, then knock him on the ground for arrest. Here you will play a minigame; failing will make you even while he is down.
