Aion 2 is quite generous when it comes to providing gear and resources to amplify your character’s skills and abilities. Early in the game, you’ll be in a rush to collect and add all the gear you find during exploration. But eventually, it will come to a point where you will notice that a lot of the gear you own doesn’t have a proper use for it later in the game.
That will lead you to a bit of a problem, since gear collection will take up several of your inventory slots. Luckily, Aion 2 does provide several different methods to get rid of all your old gear. This guide will reveal where you can sell, trade, or extract your existing gear and turn it into something of value.
Selling Gear in Aion 2
The most common method of getting rid of your gear in Aion 2 is to sell or trade it in the Auction House. You will find the Auction House option in the main menu, after which you can select the gear to sell and set the price for it. Some of the early game gear is not worth much, so I recommend selling it for Kina instead of trading for it.
If you still can’t get rid of your old gear this way, then I would suggest checking up on the Abyss Supply Requests. Some quests require certain gear that you would already own, and you can sell it to the right vendors for Enhancement Stones and Abyss Points. I suggest stocking up on Abyss Points early in the game, as they can be traded in the store for higher-tier gear.
Extracting Gear in Aion 2
If you find your inventory slots in Aion 2 filled with gear you no longer use, then you need to extract them to turn them into usable resources. To extract gear, open up your main menu and select the Cube option at the top of the menu. This will bring up your inventory. Go through your items and select the gear that you no longer want to use.
In the gear pop-up window, look for the flask icon that says Extract when you hover your cursor over it. This will bring up another new pop-up window that reveals all the items you will get from extracting that particular gear. Extraction will take up some Kina, so stock up on some cash before performing the extraction process.
How to Use Extracted Items in Aion 2
Any item extracted from your gear can be put towards enhancing your existing gear. To enhance gear, select the Enhancement tab in the menu and select the gear you wish to improve. Upgrading gear will require Enhance Stones, which are obtained from gear extraction.
If you are in a pinch and require more Enhance Stones, you can extract gear in the Enhancement window too. The process is the same; select a gear and click on the Extraction flask icon to extract. You might also receive skins during extraction, which can be used with other gear of the same type to change its appearance.
How to Transfer Enhanced Gear in Aion 2
This section applies to gear that you have spent time enhancing but want to get rid of. While you can extract it the usual way, you would lose some of the items that you have used during the enhancement process. Rather, once you hit level 50, you can shift all the enhancements from your existing gear into new gear through the process of Inheritance. This is perfect for gear that you have invested in during your playthrough, but have now found something new to test out.
This is a very late-game system that brings additional changes to your existing gear and makes it more powerful. You will find the Transfer section in your Enhancement menu, right on top. Do keep in mind that your old gear gets consumed during the process of Inheritance, so you can’t get it back anymore.
