Final Fantasy Resonance does make the exploration a bit difficult, with little to no handholding. In Chapter 2, you are always running into inoperable elevators. During the objective. “Escape before time runs out,” you will run into another case of an inoperable elevator. Making the elevator workable requires you to complete a puzzle in this section. Rain will have an idea about pulling the levers at random, hoping one of them will do the trick, but as you might have guessed it, things are not that simple, especially in a Final Fantasy game.
In this guide, I have put up the proper sequence to pull the levers in the elevator puzzle in Final Fantasy Resonance. Here, we must resort to the old-fashioned way by going through the clue and breaking it down to solve the puzzle.
Which Lever To Pull in FF Resonance Chapter 2

Pull lever 16 to activate the elevator. That’s the short and sweet answer, but if you want to know how we get to the final number, follow the steps below.
The clue for the puzzle is written on a note, pasted on the steel fence, northeast of the room, as seen in the image above. Interact with the paper to get the clue for the puzzle.
Puzzle: “Add up the three numbers on the floor of the shipyard. Then, pull the lever that matches that total.” The note will give us a warning: “You’re gonna have a bad time if you pull the wrong lever!“
Solution: Add up the three numbers on the floor of the shipyard.

Do take a look at the shipyard, and you will find the numbers “3, 5, and 8“.
- Number 3: The number 3 is found right near the staircase that leads to the lever room.
- Number 8: It can be found outside the lever room. You will come across this one after climbing the stairs to the lever room.
- Number 5: The number 5 is found next to the elevator located on the left side of the lever room.
As the clue says, we must combine all these numbers: “3 +5 +8 = 16“. Interact with the lever on the right side of the room, in the southeast corner, to activate “16“. Pulling the lever to 16 will turn on the inoperable elevator located near the number 5 that we used for the puzzle.
