The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake features the same twisty maze from the original game, which can give you a hard time on your first go. The Lost Woods asks you to navigate through a maze in the forest that leads you to Saria. That said, to do that, you must know all the important turns inside it.
Once you can successfully navigate the path, you will reach her at the end of the Sacred Grove, where she will teach you her song. In this guide, I will explain how you can get through the Lost Woods to reach her easily.
The Path Through the Lost Woods in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake
From the entrance, here’s what the path looks like:

Take the first right hole you see and keep running forward.

When you reach the end of the tunnel, you will spot a practice target in front of you. Right before it, there will be a tunnel to your left. Take it.

Head right from the end of this tunnel. There will be another tunnel entrance next to a broken stone.

Once you come out on the other side, take the tunnel entrance to your left and keep running.

On the other end, pick the middle entrance (straight) and keep heading forward.

Then pick the left entrance once you come out and keep progressing.

For the final turn, take the right entrance, which is next to an identical broken stone you came across earlier.

After you have successfully navigated through the Lost Woods, a cinematic will begin, which will show you the entrance to the Sacred Grove. If you take a wrong turn at any point, the game will spit you back out right at the start.
You will have to head back in and try again. I highly recommend listening for the music cue. The right tunnel plays a fuller version of the song, while the incorrect one will sound much trimmer and quieter.

Clearing the Sacred Grove

After you have reached the Sacred Grove in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, walk up to the barred gate. You will have to fight a Wolfos. Here, a great tactic is to keep the shield up and wait for the creature to commit to an attack. After that, hit it while its back is turned. After you land a couple of clean hits, the gate will open.

Inside the gate, you will see a short hedge maze which is full of Mad Scrubs. They will shoot faster than the regular Deku Scrubs at Link.

Keep your shield ready to bounce the nuts back and then finish them off with your sword. Alternatively, you can also just run past them by dodging their attacks. Keep following the path until you reach the stairs on the far side.

You will then find Saria sitting on a stump and playing her ocarina.

Talk to her, and she will teach you Saria’s Song. The notes are: R-A-Y-R-A-Y.
What is Saria’s Song For in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake
In the game, you can play the song anytime to chat with Saria. Moreover, you need the notes to get the Goron’s Bracelet from Darunia in Goron City. This song will help you enter Dodongo’s Cavern. Later in the game, you can also play it for Skull Kid in the Lost Woods for a Heart Piece, and as an adult, it gets Mido to step aside so Link can reach the Forest Temple.
That is the complete route for navigating the Lost Woods in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake. If you pay attention to the music cue, the path becomes a lot easier. But you can also memorize the route to reach Saria.
