The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake brings back the same seven runaway Cuccos in Kakariko Village. Once again, you have to round them up, as it is the easiest way to score an Empty Bottle early in the game. The Cucco Lady stands by the pen in the southwest corner of the village. Talk to her, and you can begin grabbing the birds and tossing them back to their designated spots.
While most of them are out in the open, some of them will require a little bit of gliding. In this guide, I will show you all the Cucco locations in Kakariko Village.
How to get All 7 Kakariko Village Cucco Locations in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake
Much like the original game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is also keeping some of the Cuccos in hidden spots. Here’s where you can find each of them:
Village entrance: Head west near the main gate that leads to Hyrule Field. The Cucco is pecking around near the path.
Brick pile by the Skulltula House: This Cucco will be sitting on top of the bricks and is out of reach. Use your Slingshot to take it down and then grab it.
Wobbling crate: This can be found near the center of the village, by the northern houses at the bottom of the walkway. This crate will shake a little, which you can use to identify it. Break the crate, and the Cucco will pop up.
By the pen itself: I found the first Cucco right next to the Cucco Lady, in the building site across from the coop. You can pick it up and throw it over the fence.
Death Mountain path: Go north and take the steps that will lead you toward the trail. You can spot this one partway up.
Behind the fence near the windmill: Grab a Cucco and head to the stairs by the windmill entrance. Then sprint and jump off the ledge so you can glide over the fence into the closed-off area.

There is one on the ground near the staircase inside. Throw the bird you brought inside over the fence so it does not get stuck, and then grab this one.
Up the ladder in the same area: Climb the ladder in the same area. The Cucco can be found waiting on the ledge above.
After You Finish
After you have sent all seven Cuccos back to the pen, talk to the Cucco Lady, and she will hand you an Empty Bottle as a reward. The birds escape again afterward, and you can round them up yet again, but this time for 20 Rupees. You can do this every time you are in need of extra cash.
