As mentioned earlier, Baki Hanma Season 2 will be divided into two parts. Part 1 will be covering The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga, whereas Part 2 of Baki Hanma will focus on The Father VS Son Saga. Aside from that, both parts will be released on Netflix, but the streaming website is yet to announce if it will be releasing the anime globally or for selected regions. Baki Hanma Season 2 Part 1 will be released on July 26, following which the second part will premiere on Netflix on August 24.
The official website of Baki Hanma also informed fans that the ban from the opening and ending songs of the second season has also been lifted. Moreover, the website posted the comments by the two artists who will be performing the two theme songs. The opening, titled The Beast, will be performed by Wagakki Band, while UPSTART will be singing the ending theme song, WILDER.
Talking about the opening song, Guitarist and Vocalist Machiya said:
“This time, I will be in charge of the second season of Baki Hanma…we finished the sound assuming ethnic music elements with a continental feel and fierce fighting scenes. Folk music elements go well only with Rock and Japanese instruments, which is a truly heterogeneous martial arts battle!!! Personally, I am very happy to be a part of the best work I can do.”
IT'S HAPPENING! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

Vocalist Yuko Suzuka also shared his excitement to be working on contributing the opening song for Baki Hanma Season 2:
“I saw Baki in the anime. When I saw it for the first time, I remember being very interesting and addicted to one world after another. I am very happy to be involved in such a work. I can’t wait to see how Baki’s voice reaches everyone. I hope that my voice and the sound of the Japanese instrument band will flourish and that this work will remain in the hearts and ears of many people.”
Meanwhile, UPSTART has talked about how grateful they are to be having WILDER as the ending theme of Baki Hanma Season 2:
“UPSTART’s new song WILDER has been honored to be the ending theme of Baki Hanma! Even in the world of Baki, where tremendous things happen, this work has ridiculous content. WILDER, which was created with Pickle, Baki, Yujiro Hanma, etc., and the anime Baki Hanma It has become a song that all fans want to hear!”
The last announcement came in the form of the cast announcement. Netflix announced that Takeshi Kusao will voice Pickle, who is described as a warrior from a “primitive age,” in The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga. On the other hand, Nobuo Tobita will lend his voice to the character Dr. Albert Payne, a doctor who is credited to have revived Pickle. Apart from them, the core cast members from season 1 will reprise their roles in the upcoming cast. Since no other new cast were announced for other characters, it is expected that more information on the same will be released as the release date of Baki Hanma Season 2 Part 1 approaches.
