Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is an open-world pirate game that is the remake of the original cult-classic. As such, it retains and improves a lot of the elements from its predecessor. Since the game heavily relies on the pirating life in the early 1700s, there are treasures to be looted all over the Caribbean. In this guide, we will take a look at a treasure found on Salt Lagoon island.
How to Get The Salt Lagoon Treasure Map in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
To collect the treasure, we first need to know where it is located. Head to Abaco Island in the northwest section of the world map. Be careful, though, since depending on the route you take, there is a good probability that you will encounter a high-level fortress (which should not keep you from taking on other smaller fortresses, as we mention them in our top 10 things to do first in AC Black Flag Resynced) that the Jackdaw might not be able to handle just yet. We recommend starting from the south and keeping west so that you don’t come across restricted areas like Gibara or Eleuthera.
Once you reach Abaco Island, head to the coordinates 581,804. These will take you to the other end of the island, south west of the viewpoint. Here, you will find a skeleton in an armor under a tall tree, indicating the last moments of a soldier of war. Walk up and loot him to obtain ‘Treasure Map from Abaco Island x1’. This will update your codex entry, where you can view the map and the treasure’s coordinates – 719,607.
How to Get The Salt Lagoon Treasure
To get to the Salt Lagoon island, either be ready for an unfair ship battle, or be very sneaky; the island is very close to Gibara. Head to the coordinates 720,604 and it will take you exactly to Salt Lagoon. Once here, board off your Jackdaw and start heading for the northern section of the island. You will soon spot a giant rock with a bunch of trees around it, which looks strikingly familiar to the map you collected earlier.
It is easy to know when you are at the right spot, because Edward will say “This place looks familiar” as soon as you reach there. At the exact coordinates as before (719,607), you will notice a ‘Dig Up’ prompt pop up. Interact with it and Edward will take out a wooden chest out of the ground (without actually digging it).
