Crucible replaced the previous Glory playlist as the new competitive mode in Destiny 2 during the Season of Seraph. The ranks in this mode are similar to your typical first-person shooter ranked divisions like Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.
All Competitive Ranks In Destiny 2 Crucible Mode
Here are all the ranks in Destiny 2’s Crucible mode, starting from lowest to highest:
- Untested (Placements)
- Copper III – I
- Bronze III – I
- Silver III – I
- Gold III – I
- Platinum III – I
- Adept III – I
- Ascendant III – I
When you first start playing, you will be in the Untested rank where you will go through a series of placement matches which will determine your starting rank in Crucible. Depending on your performance, you can get placed as low as Copper III or as high as Gold I.
After your placements, you will now start earning Division Points by winning matches and losing those points when you lose your matches. Once you reach Adept I, you will need to complete a Promotion Series to get promoted to the next rank.
If you fail this series, you will have to go through the Relegation Series to stop yourself from getting demoted. You will now have to fight to keep your current rank of Adept I.
Winning and losing aren’t the only factors with Divisions Points; your overall performance is also taken into consideration. Make sure you always give your best till the end even if you know you are losing the match since it will reduce the number of points you lose.
