The Hideout is one of the most important new features in Assassins Creed Shadows. It is a fully customizable base in the world that the player is able to build and move around as they see fit. Of course, there are some buildings and upgrades for the Hideout that are the best that you should go for first in Assassins Creed Shadows.
Best Hideout Buildings Upgrades in Assassins Creed Shadows
When it comes to the best Hideout buildings and upgrades in Assassins Creed Shadows, there are some features that are much better than others. Sure, some personal preference comes into play, but some buildings are just there for show and do nothing to affect the overall gameplay. As such, these are the best Hideout buildings you should get first:
- Forge: This allows you to upgrade weapons, armor, and use engravings
- Study: Gives you more scouts to use
- Nando: Reduces the cost of scouts at Kakurega locations
- Tera: Increases the overall XP you get by 10%
- Dojo: Lets you train allies
Outside of these rooms, the other ones are optional in my opinion and can be helpful, but won’t be game-changers in the same way.
Here are the materials necessary to build and upgrade those buildings in the first place:
- Forge Materials: 700 Crops, 520 Wood, and 170 Stone
- Study Materials: 60 Crops, 40 Wood, and 10 Stone (Just need to complete the main story quest that introduces the Hideout; upgrades are also tied to quests)
- Nando Materials (Can’t be upgraded): 440 Crops, 330 Wood, 110 Stone, and 1160 Mon
- Tera Materials (Can only be built once; can’t be upgraded): 740 Crops, 550 Wood, 180 Stone, and 1930 Mon
- Dojo: 350 Crops, 260 Wood, and 90 Stone
Here are all of the upgrade levels for each of the best buildings that you can upgrade in the Hideout:
- Forge Level 1: You can dismantle gear and level them up to level 20
- Forge Level 2: Gear can be leveled up to level 40 and then you can apply non-legendary engravings
- Forge Level 3: You can upgrade gear all the way to level 60 and then use legendary engravings
- Dojo Level 1: You can train allies to the Initiate rank
- Dojo Level 2: You can have two allies assist you
- Dojo Level 3: You can train all of your allies to the Veteran rank
How to Increase the Hideout Level
Another aspect of the Hideout in Assassins Creed Shadows is the level of it. As you build more rooms and upgrade them, you will increase the level of the Hideout. This overall level is crucial since it comes with varying bonuses on its own. Almost every level of the Hideout will get you something new like scouts bringing back resources and more.
To level up the Hideout the fastest, you want to start with the above buildings. From there, you can mix-and-match any buildings you like. The more you create using resources, the higher the level of the Hideout will go.
There are 10 levels in total that you are able to get through upgrading and leveling up the Hideout. Each one comes with its own rewards. You can find all of the rewards you will get from the levels below:
- Level 2: Your scouts will now bring you Mon every season
- Level 3: The shrine buff lasts for 15 more minutes
- Level 4: Your scouts will give you hideout resources every season
- Level 5: Engravings cost 20% less to apply
- Level 6: Scouts will give you crafting materials every season
- Level 7: You will be able to replenish your health and adrenaline meter at the Kakurega and Hideout
- Level 8: Scouts will give you gear every season
- Level 9: Armor and weapon upgrades now cost 20% less to do
- Level 10: Stockpiles will now give you crafting materials in addition to Hideout resources
