While Coral Island is primarily a farming sim, it also offers certain life-like experiences commonly found in the games in the farm sim genre.

All Romance Options in Coral Island
The romance options in Coral Island have kept expanding with each update. Every update brings with it, not only new dateable characters but deepening relationship options. There are currently 28 (25 + 3 currently not romanceable) NPCs you can tie the knot with. You can form friendships with them or also begin to date them, once you match the requirements.
In order to date a particular romanceable NPC in Coral Island, you will need to get their hearts to at least level 8. This increase in NPC heart level can be achieved by two key things –
- Talking to them frequently (usually once per in-game day should do the trick)
- Offering them their favorite gifts
You can find out about the things each of these characters like by simply chatting with them frequently. Should you bring those things to them as a gift, their affection towards you will grow and as a result, their heart level will increase. To make things easier, we have compiled a detailed list of every Coral Island dateables’ favorite gifts below.
Once your chosen dateable NPC’s heart level starts exceeding 8, you can start dating them. And after this juncture, special Heart Events will start popping up giving you an opportunity to get to know your chosen partner even better. Once you get their heart level at 10, you will have the option of marrying them.
Note: You can romance more than one (even all) characters in Coral Island at a time. However, you can only choose and marry a single partner in the game.

There are 28 total romanceable characters in Coral Island. It is also worth noting that players can meet up, date, and marry each other in the game’s multiplayer mode. Regardless of your gender, you can choose, date, and marry any one of these characters.

Alice
Sex: Female
Alice is the twin sister of Suki, the owner of Coral Inn. Alice spends her days as the manager of the Inn and loves spending time with her niece, Valentina. She enjoys warm summer days and can be seen reading quietly in the sun on the rare days she has time off from the Inn. She thinks that Pizza is overrated and loves to engage in deep conversations about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
Aaliyah
Sex: Female
An ex-Pilot for the military, Aaliyah is the eldest of four siblings. She lives with her family at the Fishencips, the local tavern. A fun-loving person, Aaliyah spends her days tasting new food items at the Fishenchips, helping the tavern owners clean up late at night, and dreams of returning to flying for the Air Force. On a few occasions, you can also see her playing volleyball on the beach with her friend, Chaem.
Ben
Sex: Male
A single merchant living in the Caravan region of Coral Island, Ben is a green tea and meditation enthusiast. He loves spending his time traveling, in order to expand his ever-growing healing crystal collection. Ben can be seen frequently visiting music festivals and loves drinking green tea. An easy-going fella, Ben has a pet duck named Funbucket and sells a variety of wares.
Chaem
Sex: Female
Cheam is an in-training athlete who dreams of one day participating in the National Volleyball Championship. She works part-time at the beach as a lifeguard and lives near the Observatory. Chaem is part of a volleyball team named Coral Reefs and can be perceived initially as rude. Once you get to know her, you will find out that she’s not rude, but pretty straightforward, hard-working, and ambitious.
Charles
Sex: Male
Working as a doctor at the Coral Island Clinic, Charles is a health nut. He lives with a roommate, Scott, at 1 Main Ave. Their conflicting personalities make for some hilarious interactions, yet their friendship remains strong. Charles has recently split from a cheating ex-fiance, however, coming to Coral Island seems to be more open and friendly. He loves frequenting the isle’s hair salon and can be seen enjoying his lunch in the park near the Laboratory.
Eva
Sex: Female
Eva is a Baker, working at Sam’s General Store. She lives in the Coral Inn and enjoys interacting with everyone. Deeply fond of Red Velvet cakes, cookies, and winter, she loves baking and knitting clothes. She is most often described as a ray of sunshine, due to her positive attitude, sunny disposition, and ability to make anyone smile.
Kenny
Sex: Female
A lone rancher living at the Huntress Cabin, Keeny can be often found playing his flute while tending to his animals. Kenny lives with his parents near the forest and works as a part-time rancher. He has cultivated a number of deep friendships across the town and spends most of his after-work time visiting his friends at the blacksmith shop or at the local tavern.
Leah
Sex: Female
Yoga Instructor at the Community Center, Leah lives at the Victorian Mansion with her father and her stepmother. Interested in photography along with yoga, Leah can be found wandering the isle, camera in hands. Although a firm believer in maintaining a steady online presence, Leah also enjoys spending time surrounded by fine art, nature, and animals.
Lily
Sex: Female
Lily lives at 2 Main Ave and works remotely for a cybersecurity company. With no set working hours, Lily loves to spend time at the library or the lake. To help out her friend Nina, Lily also stays at the Abandoned Villa once a week, usually on Monday. Lily loves her collection of miniaturized Bonsai trees and enjoys the peace of her own company.
Luke
Sex: Male
Owner of the Socket Electronics, Luke lives in Hillside Brewery and Vineyard with his parents. A foodie with the tendency to overthink things, Luke loves visiting the Beach Shack with his mates, Pablo and Ben, for some fresh seafood. His parents run the Hillside Vineyard, a business he feels pressured to join. In order to make a name for himself, he has opened and runs the Socket Electronics store.
Macy
Sex: Female
A photographer living at the Coral Inn, Macy grew up on a neighboring island. She loves playing video games, makes a living by selling her pictures to a visual media company, and tends to her rescue pet lobster, Stephen. She can be seen walking around the island with her pet lobster, clicking pictures and selfies, and enjoying Pizza with select wines at the local tavern.
Mark
Sex: Male
A dedicated member of the Band of Smiles, an international group for hunters, Mark lives in the Woodlands with his sister, niece, and brother-in-law. Mark volunteers at the animal shelter in his free time and enjoys a cup of Hot Cocoa every day. He has a soft spot for all the animals, admitting at times his urge to just let all the animals free.
Millie
Sex: Female
A Librarian living in Garden Lane, Millie also oversees the operations at the island’s museum. She enjoys bird watching in her free time and rents one of the rooms in her house to Yuri. She loves eating ramen and can be seen helping the island’s mayor from time to time, be it collecting donations or helping them arrange various festivals.
Nina
Sex: Female
Nina is a former resident of Coral Island, who still comes to town for her vacation. She vacations at the Abandoned Villa and enjoys visiting the beach from time to time. There is no clear explanation as to what she does or why she leaves the island. She can be seen talking to her friends, Suki, Alice, and Lily, and eating at the local tavern.
Noah

Living with his mother, sister, brother, and brother-in-law at the local Tavern, Noah spends his days ensuring that the tavern is running smoothly. He enjoys walking and spending huge amounts of time talking with his mother, as well as his close friend Alice. He also enjoys watching a gourmet gelato-making show called Game of Cones.
Pablo
Sex: Male
One of the blacksmith brothers, Pablo comes from a large family and lives near the Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith in Woodlands. Generally perceived as charismatic and a little flirty, Pablo loves helping the townsfolk, eating tacos, and hates the beach.
Rafael
Sex: Male
Pablo’s baby brother Rafael also helps run the Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith shop. Polar opposite to Pablo, Rafael is a silent person, who enjoys solitude. However, when approached, he is always perceived as respectful and very friendly. Usually reserved in nature, he rarely leaves his blacksmith shop other than to clean the graveyard next to his shop.
Raj
Sex: Male
A stylish barista living at the Coral Inn, Raj is a coffee connoisseur who owns a quaint outdoor cafe in Coral Island. Raj lives a fairly simple life. When he’s not cleaning his shop or serving the customers, he can be found reading peacefully near Garden Lane. He can be found, at times, eating or sitting at the Coral Inn, and in winters or snowy days, he takes his meal near the Inn’s fireplace.
Scott
Sex: Male
Charles’ roommate Scott lives at 1 Main Ave and works in the museum as an Archeologist. He has dedicated his life to preserving various ancient artifacts and loves vintage jazz, strong coffee, and rainy days. City boy at heart, Scott has moved to the isle in order to escape his fame in the previous city he occupied as the town’s infamous playboy.
Suki
Sex: Female
The only divorced character amongst the Coral Island dateables, Suki is the owner of the Coral Inn. She lives with her twin sister, daughter, and extended family. Being Valentina’s mom is the number one priority for Suki and spends most of her time taking care of either her daughter or the Inn. Apart from these two things, Suki is also conscious about healthy living.
Surya
Sex: Male
Surya is a marine biologist who works at the Coral Island Laboratory. He lives in the Carpenter region of the island with his aunt and uncle. Recently graduated, Surya loves spending his time at the Laboratory, working alongside Ling, and spending his free time hanging out with his friend Luke near the Beach.
Theo
Sex: Male
Theo is a fisherman who lives with his family at 2 Main Ave. He enjoys singing and playing his guitar and can be seen performing at the local tavern from time to time for a quick buck. The townsfolk describe his singing and performing abilities as ‘decent’, but with ‘soul’. A teetotaler, Theo enjoys festivals, camping, and outdoor cookouts.
Yuri
Sex: Female
The second doctor on the island, Yuri lives at Garden Lane and works at the Clinic. She loves playing chess as well as pool and has spent her twenties working with Doctors without Borders. A strong and driven personality, Yuri displays courage and is friends with several people on the island, including Charles, the other doctor, and her roommate, Millie.
Wakuu
Sex: Male
Wakuu is an astrophysicist who lives with his father and works at the Observatory. He spends his weekends with his dad at the lighthouse he lives in. A creature of habit, Wakuu can be seen solely at the lighthouse or Observatory, with rare occurrences of him playing pool at the tavern.
Zarah
Sex: Female
Living on her own boat, Zarah is a treasure hunter. An adventurer at heart, she loves spending her days searching for long-lost artifacts, gems, and pieces of buried history. Zarah is a mystery. She has no close friends and mysteriously disappears from time to time.
Note: Merfolk characters, added in the 2023 update, i.e. Denali, Miranjani, and Semeru, are currently not romanceable characters. However, they are planned to become so in the future as outlined in the Coral Island 2024 roadmap. Once that update launches, we can get to know more about them and what gifts they prefer.

Next Stage In Coral Island Romance: Marriage & Children
So you have chosen a partner, and after dating them for a while and marrying them, you are thinking – what’s next? Coral Island, true to its life sim genre, offers you a new life after marriage. You can start a family with your significant other. The game allows you to have up to two children. (This number can increase to three if you choose to marry Suki, a single mother with a child named Valentina)
Once you have children, you will play the same as before, with your children now visible in the game as NPCs. As a part of a future update, your children and the children around the island will grow up to their teenage years. This will result in the inclusion of additional stories as well as relationship development. There will be new schedules, dialogues, and many family activities.
There will be a variety of children’s designs for your offspring in the game. These children will have their own personality and interest; which you can influence as they grow up, or let them discover it on their own, employing the digital parenting style you feel suits you and your virtual family the best.
It is also worth noting that your children’s characteristics or traits are not exactly tied to the spouse you marry. They will grow up to have their own personality traits and worldview, based on your interactions with them.
Note: The developer is yet to confirm whether players in multiplayer mode can have children with each other.
