Core Keeper Urschleim Boss Location
Urschleim is an optional end-game boss in Core Keeper that awaits you in the Passage. This is the last biome, located in the outer rim of the world. This area is basically a network of tunnels and corridors situated beyond the Great Well and the Shimmering Frontier.
You will find Urschleim around the 1240 to 1280 tiles in the Passage, navigating to this area isn’t that difficult since there are no sub-biomes present here. As soon as you encounter Urschleim, there will be a loud sound followed by vigorous shaking of the screen.
Alternatively, you can reveal the location of this boss on the map by using a Urschleim Scanner. This location will remain on the map until Urschleim has been defeated. Once you have defeated the creature, you can freely re-summon it by using a Primeval Slime Cell anywhere in the Passage.

How To Defeat Urschleim In Core Keeper
Urschleim exists in the shape of a giant mass in Core Keeper. Once this creature senses your presence, it slowly approaches you, through any obstacles in its path without destroying it. While Urschleim doesn’t possess a shooting attack or any particular attack in this regard, it is capable of killing you right away if it comes in contact with you. Here’s how Urschleim changes its shape along with the ideal combat strategy you need to follow to defeat it:
- Urschleim has three glowing bulbs in its front which need to be destroyed first. Once this is done, the creature’s worm part will be revealed to you.
- You need to damage the worm portion of the creature until it retracts it.
- Now, Urschleim’s three bulbs will respawn once again and you will need to destroy them and deal with the worm transformation again. These transformations keep repeating for few times until the body of Urschleim dies (generally four times). The health loss of Urschleim during each weak period is soft-capped at 25% maximum health.
Note: Only glowing bulbs and the worm portion of Urschleim can be damaged, the outer shell is completely resistant to all attacks.
On defeating Urschleim for the first time in Core Keeper, you will be rewarded with the Cambrian Behemoth achievement.
Tips To Easily Beat Urschleim
In addition to the strategies mentioned above, keep these factors in mind while attacking Urschleim in Core Keeper:
- You cannot damage Urschleim from behind, this includes both long range as well as short range attacks.
- In case you die while fighting this notorious creature, Urschleim’s health will be restored completely. However, the bulb damage you have inflicted will remain intact.
- Lastly, it is recommended for you to understand the map of the Passage and opt to travel through the longer path while exploring the area. This will take Urschleim a longer time to find and attack you.
