The Phalar Aluve is one of the best swords in Baldur’s Gate 3, not just for its looks but also for its strength in combat. However, obtaining it is not that easy. You won’t need to take down enemies to obtain it, but there are certain conditions you need to fulfill in almost a poetic display to get the sword.
How To Obtain The Phalar Aluve Sword In BG3
You will have the opportunity to obtain the Phalar Aluve Sword in the first Act of the game itself. It can be found in the Underdark near the Selunite Outpost.
After you arrive at the outpost, turn left and head over to the incline. You will see a sword shining and buried inside a stone. These are the coordinates you should go to: X:117, Y:191.
Now, there are multiple ways in which you can pull out this stone:
- Drows can read the inscription on the sword, making them an ideal candidate to get it.
- The Cleric of Eilistraee can take the blade right out of the stone and even provide a unique dialogue.
If players don’t have either in their party, they have two more options:
- High Strength (DC15) is required to pull out the sword using brute strength.
- A High Religion stat (DC15) can also be used to pull out the sword.
We recommend taking Lae’zel and Karlach to pull the sword out. It is one of the best swords to get since it has +1 Slashing Damage if used when two-handed.
If you found this activity enjoyable, I recommend navigating through the Arcane Tower in BG3 for some amazing loot.
