The last thing you want to do in a combat-focused game like REPLACED is to have low health and a short supply of medkits. At the same time, some games shower the upgrades via XP, while others like players to hunt and explore to reap the rewards. In REPLACED, all collectibles and upgrades are hidden from the player in dark alleys, or sometimes behind a side quest. Here are all the health and Med-Stim Upgrades in REPLACED, to help you survive the game in general and tough boss fights like the one against Uncle Ben
This is a WIP article – we are through to Chapter 4, and will keep updating this as we progress.
All Health and Med-Stim upgrades in REPLACED
Before we dive into the article, here are a few things you need to know:
- Immune Modulator: Med-Stims can be used at a quicker rate.
- Genetic Profile: Increases your Health
- Rechargeable Ampoule: Increases the Number of Med-Stims you can carry.
REPLACED Chapter 1 Health & Med Stim Upgrades
#1. Genetic Profile
Right after the hide-and-seek game, you take cover to hide from the enemy’s laser sight. Once that sequence is over, you will drop down to a new arena with the Diner board in the middle. Go to the left to pick up the Genetic Profile upgrade to increase your health.
Chapter 2
#2. Genetic Profile 2
Quest: Yes
NPC: David
Location: Station’s Platform
Achievement: My Only Sunshine
Complete the mission for David at the camp. You will find him under the platform at the introductory section to Chapter 2. The quest is intertwined with the Arcade quest. You need to talk to Susan at the arcade and complete her quest to get the item needed for David. The arcade is located at the Safe Zone.
#3. Immune Modulator 1
Quest: Yes
NPC: Susan
Location: Arcade
After completing the quest from Susan in Arcade, play Doner Rush on the arcade machine and beat her score of 5000, and you will earn a Med-Stim upgrade.
Pro Tip: The mini game can be a bit difficult. Make sure not to make a mistake when you are transferring the organs from one body to another, and you will be fine beating the score of 5000.
#4. Rechargeable Ampoule 1
Quest: Yes
NPC: Doctor
Location: Hospital
Achievement: Let There Be Blood
Help the doctor in the Hospital and finish the quest to get the upgrade. Talk to the Doctor and then head to Yo Yo’s shop and get the item for the Doctor. It is a fetch quest but with a neat reward.
Chapter 3
#5. Genetic Profile 4
Right after you get to use the pickaxe for the first time, you will come across a point where you have to use the pickaxe on four different pillars hanging off the ceiling. Instead of going in that direction, take the route to the left, through the exit with green color.
#6. Genetic Profile 3
After defeating the shielded huge enemy for the first time, take the stairs up, and then head left, and you will find it in a room. The inside of the room is blocked from view, but once you reach the center of the room, you will find the upgrade.
Chapter 4
#7. Genetic Profile 5
Quest: Yes
NPC: Old Man
Location: Hospital
Achievement: Family Reunion
Finish the Old Man quest at the beginning of Chapter 4, and you will receive the upgrade. You will find the old man lying in the Hospital, which is the starting location in Chapter 4. Check our guide on the Flower Tent puzzle in this quest if you are having trouble solving it.
#8. Rechargeable Ampoule 2
Quest: Yes
NPC: Edward
Location: Safe Zone
Achievement: Hunted
Finish Edward’s quest in Chapter 4 to obtain the upgrade. You will find him in the Safe Zone; it will take around a few minutes to complete it. He will ask for a replica of a map and get the map from Tempest’s hideout. After grabbing the map, outside of Tempest’s place, you will find him dead. Then the next objective is to follow the paint to the place outside, interact with the mural to complete the quest, and get the reward.
