Some puzzles can be solved within a minute, while some could take more. In REPLACED, a common side quest I took at the start of a chapter led to a good puzzle minigame, requiring more than just simple guessing to crack it. I’m not going to lie, the puzzle had me in a chokehold for a good couple of minutes (not unlike the Radio Lock puzzle). Here’s how to solve this interesting Flower Tent puzzle in REPLACED.
Solving the Flower Tent Puzzle in REPLACED

After talking to the old man at the Hospital in Chapter 4 as part of the Family Reunion quest, make your way to the area outside. Interact with the flower tent to start the puzzle. If you are looking for a quick answer, then choose 02 for Winter/ 18 for Second half/ and 1944 for Leap year. Add the code to open up the safe and complete the quest.
The puzzle basically breaks down to finding the correct date on Winter/Second half/ and Leap year to open the bag inside the flower tent. The game gives us a couple of dates to act as clues to solve the puzzle.
- First Date: 02/10/1953 – Bound forever, mentioning ring
- Second Date: 05/18/1955 – Mentioning book of flowers
- Third Date: June 6, 1944 – D-Day (Basically 06/06/1944)
Now we have to find the proper date for Winter, the Second half, and Leap Year. Only then will the locked bag open, and we can get the item inside.
Cracking the Code
It all seems complicated. I can understand. I also felt a stone wall of confusion. First, I decided to tackle the Leap Year.
- A quick google search I found out that between 1955/ 1953/ 1944, 1944 was a leap year. So, I had the code for the Leap Year, 1944.
- For the Second half, I got the number by focusing on the months. 02/10/1953 – is in February/ 06/06/1944 in June/ 05/18/1955 – is in May. So the answer for the Second half became 18.
- Lastly, for the winter, it was a pretty easy and closed case with 02/18/1953 – The month of February does count as a Winter month. So the answer for the Winter is 02.
Completing the quest unlocks a health upgrade in REPLACED and the Family Reunion achievement/trophy.
