Running a repair shop daily is an exhausting venture, since you are dealing with dozens of consumers, their demands and expectations, and lastly paying bills for everything. ReStory wears a cozy genre look on its sleeve, but don’t let that fool you for a second; the game can be unforgiving at times if you fail to strategize your daily schedule. Here we will take a look at the daily schedule in ReStory and what you can do to make it perfect.
Regular Schedule in ReStory

Here is the regular schedule for the shop.
- 8:00 AM – This is the time when the shop opens for customers. Here you will start taking tasks for device repairs and deliver orders on the internet.
- 8:00 – 12: 00 AM – The work schedule lasts you 16 hours a day; you must fix, repair, clean, and order from 8 AM to 12 AM.
- 12:00 AM: This serves as the closing time, where you can pull down the shutter, close the shop, and rest.
Hashimoto will show up at the end of the day to collect the bill payment. Not paying Hashimoto’s rent money > Reputation loss > Lowers Customer Orders and volume > Negative impact on Hashimoto’s storyline.
Note: You do have the option to close down the shop early; you can do that by clicking on the bicycle on the wall. But when you do manually close the shop, you will cancel all the pending orders; some of the orders will disappear. Closing it also can hurt the reputation, which will impact the shop ratings.
Creating a Perfect Work Schedule

Here we will take a look at how you can make the 16-hour work schedule effective:
- Once the shop opens, organize the workbench and review the parts, and take a look at all the incoming orders.
- Repair the device by taking out all of its parts with a screwdriver, then clean all the parts and swap out all the broken parts before completing the order. Get the Ultrasonic Bath for auto clean-up, and the Electric Screwdriver for quicker disassembly of parts.
- When you are reassembling, make sure to follow the same order as disassembling. If you mess it up here, then you will get a bad rating for your shop. The star rating system on your work will determine the payment and the overall reputation for your shop; don’t neglect this side of the game at all, as everything hinges on these stars.
- 5-Stars: Everything is cleaned, assembled correctly with no missing screws.
- 3 to 4-Stars: Some parts have dust and dirt, assembly error.
- 2-Stars: Surface-level dirt on internal parts, and missing screws.
Earning the 5-star rating will result in more money, which will lead to more spending on spare parts, license, decoration purchase, and rent payment.
I would advise you to keep in mind that the client always wants perfection; they want their dusty, broken devices to look and feel like brand new ones. Your job is not only to fix the product but to restore it as close to its original appearance.
Tip: In your first week, set a budget of 20,000 yen before starting to think about buying anything in the game. This will help when, on rainy days, the orders are slow; you will have money to pay rent and for essential purchases.
Should You Open the Shop At Night?

Yes you can, the game doesn’t force you to close at night at 12:00 AM. While there are talks of burglars, none of that ever plays out at night. If you are going by the book, opening the shop during the day and closing at night makes sense, since the game doesn’t throw any red cards; you can have the shop all day and night.
When you are open after 12, the only thing that you will miss out on is mail service; if you have a broken device that requires crucial spare parts and you don’t have the spare device or the parts to repair it, then the only thing you can do is wait till the morning. So if you are planning to push the work to late night, make sure to have a spare device from online or spare parts in your stash to fix and repair the device.
Tips for Running an Efficient Running Shop Daily
- Never forget to clean the entire device; at first it will be slow, but after getting the Ultrasonic Bath, you will complete the task much faster.
- Every single day, note all the common parts essential for your repair shop and stock them in your inventory for later use, especially if you want to push the work after 12 AM.
- Every day, put more priority on orders that pay well so the time investment in repairing the product will be more fruitful.
- Save up money for a license, but don’t try to get them one by one. Some orders require multiple licenses; each day, target a bulk of licenses that you will get in the next day or the day after tomorrow.
If you want to run the daily shop without the punishment from the rent system or any kind of tight schedule, then choose the Sandbox mode instead of Story Mode.
