During the “Follow The Fiery Trail” Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Basim will be tasked with finding a certain “Caretaker of Books” in the game. You need to locate this Caretaker and infiltrate the House of Wisdom to find him.
Here’s how you can get this task done and complete the Follow The Fiery Trail mission in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
How To Find Caretaker Of Books In AC Mirage
The Caretaker of Books can be found on the second floor, inside the Library of the House of Wisdom in Abbasiyah. Since the Library is a heavily guarded area, you will have to sneak your way inside to get to the Caretaker.

You will overhear some people say that the Caretaker of Books can be found in the Southwest Wing, further confirming his exact location inside the Library.
Once you are inside the House of Wisdom’s main doors, follow these steps to get to the Caretaker of Books:
- Climb up the scaffoldings next to a group of people talking about the Caretaker of Books to get to the second floor of the House of Wisdom.
- Get inside the Library from the open window and climb on top of the bookshelves to get to the other side of the room in front of you.
- When you reach the other side, parkour your way towards the staircase and locate the Caretaker’s dead body directly to your right or in the southwest corner of the House of Wisdom. (Keep in mind that you need to stay high above while crossing the rooms so that you are not detected by the guards)
- Examine the Caretaker’s body for your next clue.

Make sure to use your Eagle Vision to track guards and easily detect the Caretaker’s body inside the Library. It also helps with direction, so keep spamming your vision to know where to go at all times.
You will also find hidden treasures and a little note containing some clues pointing to the Caretaker’s murderer in AC Mirage, so be careful not to miss it.
