11 Bit Studios has finally confirmed the release date for the Frostpunk 2 Beta. The Beta Access will begin on April 15, 2024, at 7 pm CEST and will last till April 22. To experience the exclusive seven-day trial of the much-anticipated Frostpunk sequel, it is mandatory to pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition.
The studio has further revealed that the upcoming Beta version will feature a segment of the sandbox mode:
The Beta features a part of the sandbox mode called the Utopia Builder Preview.

While the Beta will be limited to English and Chinese languages, the final PC version which is scheduled to release on July 25, will come with more language options.
In a recent interview, Frostpunk 2 game design director, Jakub Stokalski revealed that the upcoming sequel will cover a wider time scale compared to its predecessor. While elaborating on his vision he stated, that this change will portray the societal impact more accurately.
It will be certainly interesting to see how a post-apocalyptic scenario is taken to the next level by integrating more realistic concepts. And whether Frostpunk 2 will be able to outshine its predecessor.

In their latest announcement, 11 Bit Studios also revealed the PC requirements for the Beta version of Frostpunk 2. These requirements are specific to the beta version and may change for the final game release.
