After last week’s reveal of a certain character’s power, fans of Blue Lock are naturally excited to know what comes next. The match between Bastard Munchen and Ubers is reaching a climax, with both old and new faces clashing to rise to the top. Whether it be Barou’s power or Isagi’s overwhelming soccer IQ, Kaiser’s feats or Lorenzo’s iron-walled defence, some of the Blue Lock-verse’s most notable characters are set to be major deciders of this match’s outcome.
Speaking of which, there has been one new character who manages to stop Isagi, and in this chapter, demonstrates his potential to contend with the top up-and-coming rookies. As such, the match can go either way, with every character vying to score his own goal or trying to stop their opponents, such that the very concept of an 11-player team is ruptured by the high-stakes egoistical plays.

Blue Lock chapter 218 is titled Game Changer, and according to leaks, Isagi will question Niko how he got to where he is in the chapter’s opening scene. It should have been impossible for Niko to get to him while he was out of sight unless he possessed meta vision, which he had.
Niko, however, appeared to be unaware of what meta vision was as he had the improved vision and the mental capacity to play such football throughout the actual game. Nevertheless, he aimed to expand on the same idea and win the match using his skills.
At that point, Raichi Jingo arrived to chastise Isagi for his error since, had he kept the ball, he may have generated a significant opportunity. Isagi immediately expressed his regret and enquired as to whether Raichi could make out Isagi’s motions. Raichi, however, thought Isagi stole the ball from Lorenzo due of his proximity to the goal.

Isagi got ready for the game pitch with ball reading as the following goal would be critical in Blue Lock chapter 218 as the match was about to resume. Ness was concerned about what they could do to stop Lorenzo at the same time. As he prepared to ignite the match with his meta vision and tenacity, Kaiser implored Ness to cool off.
After Bastard Munchen regained possession of the ball, the game stalled when Kunigami Rensuke unexpectedly appeared, took the ball from Ness, and headed for the net. Kunigami Rensuke is expected to take the initiative in the match, according to previews for Blue Lock chapter 218. He must be annoyed about his absence from the match, therefore he probably will be.
With all this pent-up resentment, Kunigami could be able to influence Bastard Munchen’s play style. However, Ubers must also have a strategy to stop him. There is a strong probability that Ikki Niko will be able to stop Kunigami now that he has used his meta-vision. But one must keep in mind the cost that meta vision places on the user.

What keeps a manga and its storyline hyped in the minds of readers, especially for a serialized production such as Blue Lock, is rising stakes and new parameters that complicate the action. That is precisely what the previous chapters had been doing for Blue Lock in the Bastard Munchen versus Ubers match.
From Lorenzo’s introduction as a New-Gen-11 defender who can stop the plays of Kaiser, to Barou’s reveal of the Predator Eye and now Niko’s meta-vision, fans cannot get enough of the action. However, the question remains – will Isagi manage to surpass Kaiser in this match or will they both succumb to Barou’s overwhelming ego? What about Niko, and how potent is his power going to be? The very fact that Kunigami is bent on scoring a goal by himself further adds to the drama, while it is kind of disappointing to see nothing much from Raichi till this point.
