Talents play a big role in shaping how each character performs in Destiny Rising. Every Guardian has a unique set of abilities that can be upgraded through talent trees.

These upgrades improve damage, defense, or utility, and can even unlock new effects. Learning what comes in the different talent trees will help you dominate the game.

Talent trees are built around nodes that unlock permanent boosts for each Guardian and their abilities. These upgrades can improve stats, enhance abilities, or add extra effects to skills. Unlocking a talent tree requires duplicates of a character, which are obtained from banners.

The number of duplicates needed depends on the rarity of the character. For example, 4-star Guardians need up to three duplicates to fully unlock their tree, while 5-star Guardians only need one duplicate per rank. Reaching Rank 6 also unlocks a special dynamic avatar for that Guardian.

What Are Talents in Destiny Rising?

Talents are permanent character upgrades. They can improve active skills, increase damage, reduce cooldowns, or add new effects. Since they are tied to each Guardian, they allow players to tailor combat styles and make characters more powerful.

How to Unlock Talents Destiny Rising

Homescreen for the warrior still in Destiny: Rising
Image via NetEase Games

Destiny Rising’s gacha aspects come into play when unlocking talents. Talents are unlocked by obtaining duplicates of Guardians through banners. The number of duplicates required depends on rarity.

For 4-star Guardians in Destiny Rising, early ranks need one duplicate, while higher ranks require up to three. For 5-star Guardians, each rank needs only one duplicate. Once a Guardian reaches Rank 6, players unlock a dynamic avatar that features that character.
