The release date for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s first DLC has been revealed. Titled ‘Battle of Zhongyuan’, the DLC will be released on June 29, 2023. The developer Team Ninja announced the release date for this DLC, along with key art for the upcoming expansion.
Team Ninja has a long history of producing multiple DLCs for their games. This is the first Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty DLC since the title released in 2023. Battle of Zhongyuan is a story expansion and, according to Team Ninja, will include new stages, different difficulty levels, new types of weapons, and increased enemy variety.

Given the release date for this DLC, there is a strong chance that gamers might be able to catch a glimpse at the update in the upcoming Summer Game Fest. Team Ninja has not offered any more details for the upcoming DLC except its name and release date.
After the first one, the developer has already planned the release of the next two Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty DLCs, namely Conqueror of Jiandong and Upheaval in Jingxiang. These DLCs are expected to release in September 2023 and December 2023, respectively. All of these DLCs can be acquired by players separately or as a part of the game’s season pass.
Team Ninja has consistently gained praise for their outstanding DLCs for their past games, such as Nioh. If the past DLCs they produced is any indication, players can expect an engaging expansion of the game’s storyline, various new quests and missions, as well as some of the most memorable boss battles. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is certainly a hit souls-like game, with players happily welcoming the possibility of multiple DLCs in the future. Team Ninja claims that these upcoming DLCs will elevate the gameplay experience for both novice as well as expert players of the title.
