Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 offers a variety of outfits for all the playable characters. While these are strictly cosmetic, it is still worth collecting them all. They affect the characters’ appearance during gameplay, interactions, and even cutscenes. In this guide, we will show you how to get all the outfits for Maelle, one of the earliest recruits in the game.
All Outfits for Maelle
Lumiere Outfit
This outfit can be bought from the Gestral merchant known as Carrabi, located on The Continent just outside the Flying Waters region.
Sakapatate Outfit
Near the Gestral Arena in the Gestral Village, you will see an NPC called Ono-Puncho sitting in a corner. True to his name, he has just one request — hit him as hard as possible. You must deal a minimum of 9,999 damage to him in a single hit to get the outfit as a reward.
Skirt
From the Tide Caverns flag, grapple onto the next cliff. Descend the rope nearby and start going east until you reach another rope that goes down. Once you climb down the second rope, go inside the manor door and examine the closet to get the outfit.
Civilian Outfit
Once you unlock the ability, swim to a small and isolated island north of Stone Wave Cliffs. Purchase the outfit from the Gestral called Geranjo, who dwells on this land.
Obscur Outfit
This outfit is unlocked in the shop after defeating the Gestral Kasumi, located near the ruins of the Ancient Bridge flag in the Forgotten Battlefield.
Pure Outfit
At the Monoco Station entrance flag, a tall NPC is standing nearby. Talk to him as Maelle and reply with the correct answers for his poem. He rewards you with the outfit after you’ve appropriately answered three times. The answers are:
- “While shadows fade to silence, gone beyond our sight.”
- “Death untangles threads, revealing what’s begun.”
- “Eternity then cradles us, a promise to appease.”
Painted Me Outfit
After unlocking the fly ability, get to the cliff known as The Canvas, located northwest of the world map. Continue ahead and grab the portrait of the Dessendre family. Now, enter the manor near Noco’s Hut flag, and place the portrait in the empty frame. A door will open in the corridor ahead, which has the outfit inside.
Swimsuit
Climb the obstacle wall at the Gestral Beach and talk to Grandis, the Gestral waiting for you at the top.
Baguette Outfit
From the Ladder Area flag in The Reacher region, descend the rope and defeat the mime miniboss.
Clea Outfit
You must talk to the Young Boy at the Flying Manor after defeating Clea to obtain the outfit.
Real Maelle
This outfit is automatically unlocked at the beginning of Act III.
