These three characters combine together to deal a lot of damage to enemies’ armor. I would say that this particular team shines against bosses who have a lot of armor. Ornette and Alex are both good at surviving, and they can also deal a lot of damage to shields/armor. Once these shields are depleted, shift to Castella to deal a lot of damage in short bursts, while the enemy is knocked down.
Another team you can make here involves Theresia, who is one of the best units in the game. She can inflict both Bleed and Stun with her flails, which can allow the rest of the team to get free hits in without worrying about retaliation. Moreover, Theresia’s attacks have a lot of range for a melee unit, which makes surviving with her an easier challenge.

Reina’s Airborne status application is also great here, as it continues juggling enemies in the air. Cerese helps enhance Reina’s potential to immense heights. Finally, Othello steps in once these two characters are done with their rotations. He can take up some time on the field to mop up any enemies that survive the onslaught from the previous two units.
Best Ranged Team Combo in Dragonsword Awakening

These are the units you will want to use if you do not want your enemies to get close, or you do not want to get close to them. Astria and Kalien are both ranged units that have different roles on the team. Astria is mostly used to break your enemies’ armor, after which Kalien can apply Shock and continue the combo. Kalien herself is a Fire unit who can deal a lot of damage from afar with a single press of a button. Finally, Lute works well with Kalien, as they can knock down enemies first, letting Kalien extend her combos. Lute also improves your survival by healing your party.
Of course, not all of these characters will be immediately available to you at the start of the game. Until you have all the units of a team, you can substitute them with someone else on a temporary basis. Every character will likely have a viable substitute that can take its place.
