In Dragonsword Awakening, building your own team composition is crucial. And there is a high chance you’ll lose teammates after depleting their health pool. These deactivated heroes will show up with a greyed-out icon on your HUD, indicating they can’t be used.
Now, don’t worry because your hard-earned characters aren’t permanently gone, as you can revive them. For that, you’ll need the right item to revive your teammates, and in this guide I’ll lead you right to it. The secret sauce here is the Mushroom Tea, so here’s everything you need to know.
How To Revive Your Dragonsword Awakening Hero

To revive a hero in Dragonsword Awakening, you’ll need the Mushroom Tea, which can be found in the Cooking menu under the Inventory tab. This will cost you 1x Herb and 2x Mushroom. Both these items are abundantly present in the world, so you won’t have any problem finding them.
After you’ve crafted it, you need to assign it to your quick slot. This can be done by opening Inventory and then heading into the Cooking tab. Click on the Mushroom Tea, and you’ll find the “Assign” button on the right side. During gameplay, use the quick slot activation to automatically revive the disabled character. This would keep the Mushroom Tea handy during emergencies.
Tea brewed from dried mushrooms. It is often touted as having various health benefits.
The Mushroom Tea has a 30-second cooldown after use, so you need to wait until you can use it again. Additionally, revived characters will return with only 20% of their health, and you need to switch to them manually. I’d suggest you use consumables or regeneration skills immediately after revival to avoid the risk of losing them again.
A word of advice: while Mushroom Tea can save you during emergencies, try to avoid such situations. Since the cooldown is long, it can leave your lineup vulnerable. So, it’s best you watch your health and not push your luck with low health.
Once this is successfully done, you should now see the greyed circle around your hero on the top left has disappeared, and switching to that hero, which was not possible earlier, can now be done.
