Handing out little to no description pretty much sums up most items you will come across in Mortal Shell 2. While ignoring these items might be running through your head, all of them play a key role in the main storyline and also to make your overall build better for combat against the toughest foes in the game.
Here we will take a look at one such item called Glands found in the game. We will find three glands inside three separate Corrupted Gates in three different locations in the game’s world. While on their own, these glands don’t offer anything to the player or have any impact on the world, the picture changes once you have all three Glands in your possession, which can unlock a special item to help you later in the game. This guide is about the location details and what to do with Glands in Mortal Shell 2.
All Gland Locations in Mortal Shell 2
There are three of these glands we will come across in our journey in Mortal Shell 2; they are:
- Depleted Gland | Lonesome Spire Region
- Thawed Gland | Sester’s Refuge Region
- Faded Gland | Vestige of Infinity Region
We are also going to mention the use of all three glands and what to do after acquiring all three of them in Mortal Shell 2.
Depleted Gland Location
Head to the Corrupted Gate located at Gate of Mammon Beacon, found a bit left of the Lonesome Spire region. Head inside the Corrupted Gate until you come across the Nameless Pass, the second beacon found in the area. Before engaging with the boss, make your way toward Ruk (The Bird) perched on a rock at the edge of the cliff. Talk to Ruk and then drop down from the edge; you will land on a small area underneath with Depleted Gland found in the corner.
Thawed Gland Location
Make your way to the Corrupted Gate located at Sester’s Gate Beacon found in the Sester’s Refuge area. Progress in the area until you reach Valley of the Revered. This area is a bit unusual, as it is filled with large patches of land with spaces between them, with a narrow path connecting them.
Here, just head through the small area on the left, and you will find the Thawed Gland inside.
Faded Gland Location
Travel to the Corrupted Gate (Faded Capital) located near Gate of Infinity Beacon in the Vestige of Infinity area, found south of the map. Get inside the gate and move until you cleanse the Citadel Annex Beacon,
Now turn around from the Citadel Annex Beacon and head through the doorway on the left. Climb on the stairs and carefully jump down below, and you will land on an area filled with water, with small patches of rock coming out of the ground. You will not be alone here; the area will be sprawling with enemies. Make sure you are ready for a fight before jumping down. After taking care of enemies, interact with a well-like object with a single candle on the top, and you will find the Faded Gland.
Now that you have all three glands in your possession: Faded Gland/ Thawed Gland/ and Depleted Gland, change the game world to nighttime and head towards the Forgotten Tower, located below Sester’s Refuge. Make your way to the area until you find a staircase leading to the top of the tower. You will find a corpse of a giant at the top; interact with the creature and then offer all three Glands to obtain Seedbearer’s Scripture in return.
Seedbearer’s Scripture will provide 50% Cosmic Disease mitigation for 30 seconds after being equipped, and the second perk allows you to cure Cosmic Disease. You can also set the Seedbearer’s Scripture as a passive, but the mitigation for Cosmic Disease will be lowered to 15% compared to 50% as an active item.
