What is Commune with Chaos in Mortal Shell 2?
Commune with Chaos is an option that you will get after interacting with a hidden chalice in the game. It will take you to a brand new dungeon, the Desolate Keep Dungeon, where you will encounter tougher combat challenges and get a fancy key at the end.
Since it’s a secret kept from the player, here are the ways to gain access to the hidden chalice to get the Commune to Chaos option:
- First, make your way to Marrow Keep and head over to Sester Genessa’s Location; it’s the arena with white tombs all around the place. Here, get to the wooden shed; you will see a wall with an unusual white symbol printed on it, next to the torch. Now get your weapon out and strike the wall to reveal a hidden passage.
- Get inside the passage, and soon you will come across a chalice linked with four chains in an X-shape in the room. Now repeat the same action as before: strike the chain with your open hand to free the chalice.
- Now that it’s freed, interact with the chalice, and you will get the option to Commune with Chaos. Afterward, you will be teleported to the Desolate Keep Dungeon.
Note: Desolate Keep Dungeon is almost an end-game dungeon; the difficulty here can get extra spicy, so make sure to have a proper melee and ranged weapon along with Tarstone and shells equipped to stand a chance against the mob of enemies here. Completing the Desolate Keep Dungeon rewards you with the Blackmarrow Key, which is found in the chest.
Nothing happens after interacting with the chalice?
If you made it to the secret room and freed the chalice but nothing happened, then you are missing the Slayer Seal. You just need to have this particular seal in your inventory to gain access to the dungeon. You don’t have to equip it; just keep it in the storage and then interact with the chalice, and instantly you will get teleported to the new dungeon area.
