Axes are one of the key items for survival in Sons of the Forest. Although you start your journey with the tactical axe, you can eventually find the best melee weapon in the game a.k.a the Firefighter Axe. But figuring out the location of this axe can be quite hard since Sons of the Forest has a pretty vast and explorable map.
Firefighter Axe Location In Sons Of The Forest
The Firefighter Axe can be found inside the Maintenance A Hatch in Sons of the Forest. The hatch can be easily spotted from above ground as some survey equipment and a broken-down golf cart surround its vicinity.
Note: You will need a shovel to dig up the hatch door from the snow.
After going down the hatch, you will come across an icy hallway that leads you into an open apartment. Inside the apartment will be the Firefighter Axe, five mutants, a Laser Sight, and a Keycard. The Firefighter Axe will be inside the emergency case on the wall, next to the shelves.

If the bunker is dark, you can equip your flashlight with “L” and use it to spot the baby mutants trying to attack you. The bunker also has a snazzy Tuxedo to loot, which you can find in the apartment’s bathroom. Make sure you check every corner of that place before heading out.
