Scorchhowl is a powerful Aniimo that you can get in the wild or evolve from its prior pre-evolution forms. Either way will get you a strong ally. However, obtaining this creature is not the easiest of tasks. In the wild, there is only one Scorchhowl that spawns, and that too under specific conditions. So, I will show you the exact conditions to catch this creature, or evolve one of your own.
Aniimo Scorchhowl Location, Spawning and Evolution Conditions
The normal Scorchhowl can be obtained by catching a normal Emberpup at the Beast Fang Ridge (or other locations) and evolving it. I have detailed the evolution process below. This process remains the same for other Emberpup variants you obtain as well.
Meanwhile, Thunderstorm Scorchhowl can only spawn in the Beast Fang Ridge area of the map. So, approach this region once you are sufficiently levelled. The Alpha Scorchhowl will be found in this area, and defeating it is crucial for evolving Flameruff into Scorchhowl.
However, wandering this region alone is not enough to find this special form. You must be here specifically when a thunderstorm is happening. You can check the weather of an area for the next 24 hours straight from the map tab itself. I have marked the weather button in the above image in case you could not find it.
During a thunderstorm, one Thunderstorm variant will spawn in the area for you to catch.
Evolution
Here is the evolution path for this Aniimo:
- Emberpup -> Level 12 -> Flameruff -> Level 20 -> Scorchhowl (costs 1 Blaze Stone)
However, you must clear Sanctum: First Spark to unlock the Flameruff evolution, and afterwards, beat the Alpha Scorchhowl to unlock the final evolution.
Aniimo Prismana Scorchhowl Location, Spawning and Evolution Conditions
Similar to the Thunderstorm form, the Prismana Scorchhowl is obtained in the same region as before: Beast Fang Ridge. However, this time, the weather condition needed is Prismana Flow.
To activate this condition, head to the Branch of Breezy Plains to change the weather of this area. Afterwards, head to Beast Frang Ridge and go left from the Alpha Scorchhowl in the area. You will stumble upon the Prismana Scorchhowl and be able to capture it.
Alternatively, you can also get a free Prismana Aniimo and hope to get this beast from there, although this method is not really guaranteed.
Aniimo Highland Scorchhowl Location, Spawning and Evolution Conditions
The Highland form’s exact location is not confirmed at the moment. However, I have found the method you can use to obtain this form anyway. Head to Russet Highlands and obtain the Highlands Emberpup form there.
You can then evolve this creature into Flameruff and then into Scorchhowl.
