Secret Vestment of the Great Spirit is a great-looking hidden outfit I’ve found in DragonSword Awakening. However, this outfit is exclusive to Kalien. If you have the character in your main roster, it’s certainly worth it to grind for the outfit. Yet, I have to say there is a lot of grind associated with it.
If you want to unlock this outfit whether for completion progress, or just the style quotient, this guide will mention everything you need to know, including unlocking the character, what’s required for the outfit, and where to get it. Let’s not waste time and get right into it.
Unlocking Kalien in DragonSword Awakening
Before you unlock the secret Vestment of the Great Spirit, you’ll need to have Kalien in your character roster. You can do so by completing main and hero quests to gain Fate’s Invitations. There are 11 characters you can unlock through the Exchange Shop, including the following characters:
- Astria
- Tarte
- Roxy
- Kalien
- Eileen
- Sion
- Theresia
- Alex
- Reina
- Charlotte
- Dana
Under the Exchange Shop, you’ll get the option to use Fate’s Invitations to unlock characters; in this case, Kalien. There are no microtransactions here, so a focused grind would be enough to unlock Kalien.
Preparations Required Before Unlocking the Great Spirit Outfit for Kalien
Before acquiring the Great Spirit Outfit, you’ll need two food items: Egg Renew and Assorted Rice Bowls. The recipe for both is as follows:

Once you’ve gathered all the ingredients, use the cooking fire pit to craft these items. Make sure you have an ample amount of them, let’s say 12 to 18. I’d suggest keeping the number high here, as depleting your stamina could result in Hero deactivation. If you don’t want to hassle to revive them, it’s best to stay on the safe side.
How To Unlock the Secret Vestment of the Great Spirit Outfit for Kalien
The Vestment of the Great Spirit Outfit can be unlocked from a hidden chest in an underwater location in the Trench of Secrets. You’ll have to dive in deep for this outfit; here’s where you’ll need the Egg Renew and Assorted Rice Bowls we created earlier.
In the image above, you’ll find the marked spot. Reach the small island at the location using your mount, where you’ll find a small boat. Stand atop it and use the mount to dive straight down.
As you dive in, you’ll lose stamina over time, so use the Egg Renew and Assorted Rice Bowls once the bar reaches a critical point. As you reach the deep bottom surface, you’ll find a ruin with a single chest at the center. Open this chest to get the secret Vestment of the Great Spirit Outfit for Kalien.
You’ll also find a secret boss here. Explore the area to find a cave with a triangular opening. Mind you, this boss is level 40, so make sure your team roster is capable enough to fight it. What surprised me was the massive total of 80 mining ores you get from this boss. So if you’re grinding for the outfit, it’s best to complete this secret quest in one go.
