Shortly after The Finals released, many PC players complained that the controller aim assist was too strong and borderline broken. Embark Studios soon received the feedback and made some changes to The Finals aim assist via an update to the game.
Has The Finals Aim Assist Been Nerfed?
Yes, the changes made to the aim assist settings in The Finals have nerfed things like Zoom Snapping and Camera Magnetism. Zoom Snapping is also completely removed from certain weapons that can exploit it, like shotguns, snipers, and revolvers.
With the stronger Zoom Snapping settings before, it was easy to snap onto enemies by simply aiming in their general direction and aiming down sight. This nerf is well thought-out and ensures that the aim assist overall still helps controller players where needed while also removing the OP aspect of it.
