Xuan Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmament is set to release on PS5 this year, according to the recent announcement made by the publisher eastasiasoft. The action-adventure RPG is currently available for PC via Steam, as well as last-gen consoles, such as PS4 and Xbox One in China.
The announcement was made during eastasiasoft’s showcase unveiling their planned releases for 2024. The title was initially released in 2015 and features a standalone tale in the popular Xuan Yuon Sword franchise.
The Gate of Firmament installment of this series features real-time combat, along with reworked 3D animation. It also incorporates some of the most prominent gaming mechanisms, such as The Guardian System which allows players to convert the captured demons into allies, as well as the Miracle System which enables players to form new battle formations and increase the strength of their attacks.
The PS5 version of Xuan Yuon Sword is set to feature enhanced graphics, higher resolution, and improved loading times. This enhanced ‘definitive’ PS5 edition of the game will also include all the downloadable content previously released by the publisher since the initial release of the game in 2015.
The trailer showcased some of the cinematics as well as gameplay footage captured on PC, featuring enhanced graphics, combat scenes, and mini-games. The publisher has also announced that it is working on a physical edition of Xuan Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmament, along with the planned digital edition.
The publisher has yet to make an official announcement regarding the release date for the PS5 version of this beloved game. However, judging by the core premise of the showcase, which is highlighting the upcoming titles in early 2024, we hope to get an announcement about the Xuan Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmament PS5 release date in a matter of weeks.
