When you are renting a place to open your repair shop, you will need a consistent source of money to keep the store running. While ReStory does start out as a cozy game, the game quickly piles up tons of bills and new upgrades for you to unlock. Many systems are running behind the scenes that make ReStory a strategic game every single day in the story mode. Here we will take a look at all the ways to make money in the game.
Making Money in ReStory

Timely delivery of orders, the Tip Jar, prioritizing Cleaning Jobs, & selling products through the Sell Lodge are among the best ways to make money in ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs. Let me run you through each of these in detail:
- Tip Jar: You will get tips on all types of orders, from small paying jobs to high-paying work. Every time you complete a job and deliver it, you will make around 200 to 500 yen in tips. While it will not be a substantial part of the income, they become useful all the time.
Tip: Ignore a low-paying job; if it’s not worth the hassle, avoid those orders at all costs.
- Getting a Shredder: You can use the broken parts from the devices to make money instead of just throwing them out in the trash. Get the shredder and make use of the broken parts to make 200 to 500 yen out of them.
- The internet plan: The game offers three internet plans: 500 Yen Plan/ 1,000 Yen Plan/1,500 Yen Plan. As of now, none of the plans affect the gameplay. But the devs promised more useful rewards for picking the most expensive plan, which is at 1,500. So we might see something beneficial by picking up the highest-tier internet plan upgrade.
Note: The rumor circling online has internet plans influencing the difficulty of the order, but none of that is confirmed.
- Deliver orders in time: When you have an order with a deadline attached to it, don’t treat it like a regular order. If your delivery takes too long to complete, it will influence your shop’s overall reputation by getting a bad rating from the customer.
Tip: Don’t accept dozens of online orders per day, or you will have a bad time delivering them. I suggest putting a maximum cap of 5 on the online orders.
- Cleaning Jobs are Best: One of the easiest tasks is cleaning devices, which pay less but leave you with 100% profit, since your task is to just clean the parts of the device. Upgrading to high-timer machines will allow you to make the cleaning process automatic.
- Spare Parts Purchase: While this point is not about making money but saving it on a daily basis. Generally, you must find a used device and scrap out the parts to fix the client’s device. The other handy method is to get the spare parts in a box. But do note that the box contains random types of spare parts, but they will become extremely useful and save you plenty of money down the road.
- Spending less time on repairs: Getting new gadgets will help you achieve faster cleaning and disassembling the parts on the device. The time you used to spend cleaning can be spent looking for spare parts online or getting started with other devices for work.
- Sell Devices: Look for damaged products on the marketplace, buy and repair them completely, and then sell them on the market for a high price. The selling process is done through the Sell Lodge. Don’t sell customers’ devices on the market; you must keep your own projects separate from work. So, before you put a device on the market to sell, always make sure that device belongs to you and not to any consumer.
Tip: Use the workbench to keep your repairs and projects separate from the customers. Also, some devices require a license to work on.
