Crimson Desert’s new DLC Charting the Unknown adds new gear to collect during your underwater adventure. If you’ve wanted a Lightsaber in the game, now is your chance. The Lumen Longsword and the Lumen Sword are two different variants that resemble a Lightsaber, and it even offers the iconic sound effect when swung around.
Both weapons are obtained in different ways, and if you wish to add them both to your collection, then you need to make your way to two distinct locations. Getting your hands on both swords isn’t easy, so this guide will detail the best way to get the Lumen Longsword and the Lumen Sword efficiently in Crimson Desert.
How to Obtain the Lumen Longsword

The Lumen Longsword in Crimson Desert is a two-handed greatsword that resembles a Lightsaber, and the only way to get it is to complete all the main story quests and unlock the Echoes of Fate: Garden of Trials. You can find the Garden of Trials mode while checking out the Challenges tab in your Journal. You will find it next to the Charting the Unknown section. Within this, there are 10 challenges to complete, which mainly involve 3 different boss fights per challenge.
How to Find the Garden of Trials

The quickest way I found to locate the Garden of Trials in Crimson Desert is to use the Axiom Archive teleport waypoint on the northern island. This will take you directly to the entrance of the Garden of Trials. As you walk forward, you will trigger a cutscene that will introduce you to the location where the challenge takes place. Make your way over to the teleporter to the right to find all the challenges.
In case you can’t unlock all 10 challenges, you need to ensure that you have completed the main story quests as well as side quests and faction quests, as this will help you locate all the bosses in the overworld. You need to complete each quest’s objectives to 100%, especially if these quests involve clearing areas and fortresses. Once you find the bosses, you need to defeat them to add them to the Garden of Trials.
How to Clear the Garden of Trials

My tip for clearing the Garden of Trials is to come here with your friends. You can’t use consumables and healing items, plus you will enter with just one health bar. The challenges will be extra hard, even at max level, so going with a team will offer you the best possibility of dealing with all the bosses. If you wish to clear the trials solo, then my weapon of choice is any good bow with the infinite Explosive arrows. Keep your distance during each fight while firing arrows at your opponents to keep your HP up at all times.
Upon clearing each challenge, you will find a separate section once you teleport back to the Garden of Trials. If you make your way over there, you can pick up the Lumen Longsword, which offers the following stats.
| Type | Two-handed weapon |
| Attack | 25 |
| Crit Rate | Level 1 |
| Effect | Health Siphon Level 2 |

How to Get the Lumen Sword
A different variant of the Lumen Longsword is the Lumen Sword. While the Longsword is a two-handed weapon, the Lumen Sword in Crimson Desert is a single-handed weapon. Also, unlike the Lumen Longsword, you don’t need to complete quests or challenges to get it, and you can find it as long as you have unlocked the DLC and own a diving suit. You need to dive all the way underwater to find this sword.
Lumen Sword Location
The exact location to find the Lumen Sword is south of Carcano Island, east of the Forgotten Ocean Ruins. First, make your way south of Delesyia, east of Rocky Reef, to find Carcano Island. There is an Abyss Nexus on the island, making it easier to teleport to the location directly. Upon reaching the island, continue to head southeast until you find another smaller unnamed island. This would be easier to find if you own a ship.

After reaching the island, you need to go further south until you find the Forgotten Ocean Ruins, then go east. You need to dive deep underwater to around 220 – 230 meters. To get there quicker, a shark mount will help you with that. Once you find the walls of the underwater cliff, continue to go down while looking west to find a cave opening. Follow along the underwater tunnel until you reach some ancient ruins.

If you check your map, your location will be directly below the Forgotten Ocean Ruins, but the entrance is to the east as mentioned above. After finding the ruins, swim around the bottom level to find an entrance next to a flight of stairs. Go through the entrance and swim up to the top floor to find the chest with the Lumen Sword. Equipping the Lumen Sword will offer the following stats.
| Type | One-handed weapon |
| Attack | 18 |
| Effect | Health Siphon Level 2 |
